Behind the estimate
We compare a closed device’s two outside edges with each area separately. The estimated limit adds 0.5 cm on each side of the reference footprint. A result is close when it extends beyond the reference and comes within 0.3 cm of a limit.
This is a footprint estimate, not a physical fit test. Device thickness, tapered openings, protective cases and other packed items can change the fit. Catalogue dimensions may vary by revision. Carrying two devices at once also depends on their combined thickness.
